Asia has highest population among all the continents. 2 out of every 3 people on Earth live in Asia. Asia has about more than half of entire of the world's population, which mostly they are in China and India. It covers approximately 30% of land on the earth and 8.66% of earth's surface. The Asian continent located in the eastern and northern hemispheres, lies to the east of the Suez Canal and the Ural Mountains and to the south of the Caucasus Mountains, the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea. Asia is world's largest and most diverse continent. There are 53 countries in Asia. Asia has about more than half of entire of the world's population, which mostly they are in China and India.
The climate of Asia varies according to location and physical geography. There are eight different climate types (Deciduous forest, Coniferous forest, Alpine/mountain, Rainforest, Desert, Tundra, Grassland, Savanna). The world's highest mountain (Mount Everest in Nepal, 8850 meters) and the lowest land both are in Asia. Asia is also very rich in its flora and fauna. This continent is a habitat for some of the rare species in the word, one of them is Panda which is found in Asia only.
Asia has many different religions and languages. All the major religions in the world began in Asia including Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism--and of many minor ones. The first farmers, lawyers and merchants are also from Asia.
There are many things for the travelers to do, a lot of places to visit and various cultures to see. In Asia you will find not only big exotic capitals like Bangkok, Beijing, Jakarta, New Delhi, Seoul, and Taipei, but also smaller but famous capitals like Kathmandu, Lhasa, Vientiane or Hanoi.
